This 2021 1/10 ounce American Gold Eagle will feature the series’ original reverse, marking one of the the last times bullion American Gold Eagles will feature Miley Busiek’s iconic reverse design. The United States Mint is planning on releasing 2021 bullion American Gold Eagles featuring a brand new reverse design later in 2021. These coins marks the final year the U. Mint will strike bullion Gold Eagles with their original reverse design. A new reverse design will debut on bullion American Gold Eagles in mid-2021. Each coin contains 1/10th oz. The United States government backs American Gold Eagles for both weight and gold content. This coin has the Type-1 design bearing the original Family of Eagles reverse design. Each coin will arrive in GEM Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Iconic Obverse and Reverse Designs. Reverse: Created by Miley Busiek, a private-sector sculptor, the reverse features what is known as the Family of Eagles design, which shows a male Eagle in flight, returning to his nest mate and hatchings, with an olive branch between its beaks. Inscriptions on this face include the denomination, ” 5 dollars, ” the weight and purity, 1/10 oz.
