Obverse inscriptions include her name, “LIBERTY, ” and the date, 2021. For the 2021 Type-2 release the United States Mint restored legacy details to the obverse design including modifications to the Capitol Building, stars, torch, and sun rays among other design elements, resulting in a closer reflection to Saint-Gauden’s original vision. Reverse: Jennie Norris’s design replaces Miley Busiek’s on the reverse. Norris’s design shows an up close look at the face of a bald eagle. The statutory mottoes, “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “IN GOD WE TRUST, ” are inscribed above. Along the rim are inscriptions of the name of the issuing country, “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ” the coin’s face value, “10 DOLLARS, ” and the coin’s metal content, 1/4 OZ.
